La Grande Corniche

Made_by_Boutinot_black_edited.png

The Corniche is the local name for the Mediterranean coastline of Provence in the south of France which meanders around the coves and famous beaches of Saint-Tropez through Cannes and Nice towards Monaco, taking in many glamorous resorts in between. First made popular by the British, the Corniche has enjoyed many a heyday and our label celebrates the free spirit of the "roaring twenties" (les années folles): an age of fun, liberation and modernity.

Tasting Notes

The wine of Provence is quintessentially Rosé: a paler shade of pink, full of joy, freshness and bright fruit – the depth of flavor provided by Grenache, the zing by Cinsault. A bright young thing from the Riviera! A Provence Rosé full of joy and freshness with attractive floral notes, zesty grapefruit and wild raspberries.

Grapes are cooled on reception prior to being destemmed and the juice is then fermented in, temperature controlled, stainless steel with some time spent on the lees.
