Steak…a nice juicy, thick, rare steak!

Tasting Notes

The wine has a bright, lifted nose with freshly picked black berry fruits and expressive violet notes. The pallet is juicy but balanced. Ripe berry fruits are abundant, while gentle spice adds dimension. It's weighty with soft, gentle tannins and an enduring fruit charged finish.

Production

Our partnership with the Caselles family has seen us source this wine from low yielding vineyards in Mendoza's Agrelo region. This is a Malbec for purists. 1,000m plus in altitude helps the variety ripen slowly and ensures the grapes alluring aromatics are preserved. This is crafted with respect for the wonderful fruit we have sourced. Gentle extraction techniques are used to capture the juicy vibrant red and blackcurrant fruits which are hallmarks of this variety but care is also taken to preserve the violet scent which can make this Malbec oh so pretty.
