Tasting Notes
Rudely frothy from the first pour, the old vine Frontignac's sweet globes are firmed up with a poke of crispy priapic Gewürz and the pair quickened with gently beading bubbles that rise with flavors of honey and a gentle lick of nectar. Succulent rather than sweet and friskier than a pre-coital hummingbird tonguing hibiscus, this delicious wine finishes more-ishly, addictively, dangerously and toyingly sweet.
Production
This wine is made from grapes grown in the Vine Vale region of the Barossa Valley, where the deep alluvial soil on an old family block of 43 year old Frontignac vines marries with 35 year old Gewürztraminer vines. The grapes were picked relatively young to retain freshness of each individual aromatic characteristic and charm.
